The Grass-Fed Edge

"Eating Industrial Meat takes an almost heroic act of not knowing, or now, forgetting." -- Michael Pollan, author of the Omnivore's Dilemma

In this program Holly will take a fearless look at the state of affairs in our modern food system and learn why Mainers, more than most Americans, can celebrate the supply of humanely raised animal products that are available here. We are lucky not only for the myriad health benefits of pasture-raised products, but for the leadership role we play in bringing in a new food paradigm. Pasture-raised animal farmers are invited to join the conversation and share their views.

Holly Noonan runs a nutrition counseling business in Camden that focuses on introducing people to new and interesting nutrient-dense foods, overcoming emotional eating challenges and encouraging a "caveat emptor" approach to nourishing yourself in today's food economy. Holly's enthusiasm and knowledge of nutritional well-being always make for a lively and very informative presentation.
